Discounted ticket prices for any CBAM events are only available for Canadian practitioners. International practitioners who require an invitation letter for immigration or visa application purposes must pay the full event fee in advance, and an additional fee of $250 CAD plus tax (non-refundable) for the visa invitation letter application.

Note: For international attendees, if the visa approval arrives after the date of the event, the ticket fee will remain as a credit on the attendee's account which can be used for any future CBAM events or courses on a later date. If the fee for the invitation letter is waived due to promotional reasons, in case of visa refusal and request for refund, this amount will be deducted as the processing fee and it is not refundable.

Force Majeure for Events: In the event that CBAM is unable to provide all or a significant portion of the Events to the students, attendees or participants of any kind by reasons of fire or other casualty, restrictive government laws or regulations, riots, insurrections, war, labour disruption, cyber attack or theft, defect in the building of the event or course, national emergency, lockouts, explosions, and any other general cases of "force majeure" or other reason of a like nature not the fault of CBAM, the CBAM shall advise the students or participants by notice in writing that the event is unable to be held by CBAM. In such an event CBAM is not responsible for any loss or damage to the students or attendees or participants due to the cancellation or postponing of the course or event. In this case, CBAM will select to either cancel the event or postpone them to a new date. This decision will be delivered to the students or attendees by email.

In case of postponing the event from an original date to a new date to any available location due to one of the above reasons which is not within the control of CBAM, the refund policy is based on the original date of the course or event (not the new date).

In case of cancellation of the event due to one of the above reasons, the student or participant is eligible to request for the full refund or request to transfer the credit equal to the same amount to another course or event of CBAM in a future date.

Please review our cancellation and refund policy carefully before completing your registration.

Congress registration fees and Pre-Congress Workshop fees are subject to change at any time without prior notice.

General Congress Registration

• Cancellations requested 30 days or more before the Congress are eligible for a refund, less a CAD $250 administrative fee, which will be deducted from the registration amount.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the Congress.

Pre-Congress Workshops & Masterclasses

Due to limited seating and extensive planning required for our hands-on educational sessions:

• Cancellations made 30 days or more before the workshop are eligible for a 50% refund of the workshop registration fee.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the workshop.

Visa Invitation Letters

• Visa invitation letter fees are strictly non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the visa application or whether the attendee ultimately attends the Congress.

General Terms

• All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the CBAM Congress team.
• Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 10–15 business days using the original method of payment.
• CBAM Congress reserves the right to modify the program, speakers, schedule, venue, or faculty if circumstances require. Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.
• By registering for the Congress or any Pre-Congress Workshop, attendees acknowledge and agree to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Refund for membership fees:

All membership fee payments are final and non-refundable.

Refund for Courses or Packages:

• If you register and pay the full amount or the first payment of any installments (deposit) for packages or courses, you agree that all the terms and conditions and the refund policy applies to you.
• All fully online courses and packages (courses and packages without a practical component) which are purchased independently are considered final and the payment is not refundable, even if the student decides not to log in and/or view the materials after the purchase. Please be aware that this policy is also applicable to all interactive courses that lack a practical component and where interactions with instructors occur exclusively online.
• Refund policy for the courses or packages which do not have any online materials (they are purely in-person): If refund requests are made up to 30 days prior to the course start date (regardless of the purchase date), they are eligible for a full refund less a $250 administrative fee. For students who make a refund request between 30 days and one week prior to the start of the course (regardless of the purchase date), 50% of the full program fee is refundable. If the refund request is made less than one week before the course start date, the full program fee is non-refundable. Any refund requests must be made in writing to info@cbamedicine.com.
• Refund policy for the single courses which have online materials as well as practical components: For these courses, the price for the online portion of the course is considered final and the payment is not refundable. For the practical component of these courses, the same 30-day/1-week rule applies for refunds minus the administrative fee.
• Refund policy for the course packages: If the student purchases a package or a group of courses and receives a discount for the package, if they decide to withdraw from the package and request a refund, CBAM will deduct all the completed portions of the package until the date of the withdrawal request based on each individual course price list and return the remaining of the payment to the student.

Refund Processing: All refunds are processed via the same route of payment in which the original payment has been made. If the initial payment was made through a credit card, a deduction of 2.5% will be applied to the refunded amount.

In the event that CBAM is unable to provide all or a significant portion of the Courses or packages to the students, attendees or participants of any kind by reasons of fire or other casualty, restrictive government laws or regulations, riots, insurrections, war, labor disruption, cyber attack or theft, defect in the building of the event or course, national emergency, lockouts, explosions, and any other general cases of "force majeure" or other reason of a like nature not the fault of CBAM, the CBAM is not responsible for any loss or damage to the students or attendees or participants due to the cancellation or postponing of the course or event. In this case, CBAM will select to either cancel the event/course or postpone them to a new date.

Force majeure conditions which are caused by governmental regulations are understood to be announced to all the attendees through public media and CBAM is not responsible to inform the attendees individually in order to make these policies enforceable.

Refund policy for courses or packages during Force majeure follows standard administrative deductions depending on the portions of the courses already accessed (online vs practical).

We only qualify the installments if the applicant signs an agreement with the credit card information which gives CBAM the authority to withdraw the installment amount on the agreed dates. Please see the sample of this agreement.

If a student opts to pay for a course or package in installments, there could be a restriction on the number of practical sessions they can book until the full payment is made. Typically, this restriction is based on the cost of each individual session, meaning the student may only book sessions whose combined value matches the amount paid so far.

Insurance Responsibility: Upon completion of our certification program, practitioners are solely responsible for securing and maintaining their own professional liability insurance. We do not facilitate the procurement of insurance, nor do we guarantee the insurability of any practitioner upon completion of our certification program.

No Refunds on Grounds of Insurability: Practitioners acknowledge and agree that the inability to secure professional liability insurance does not entitle them to a refund of any fees paid for the certification program. We strongly encourage practitioners to research and confirm their eligibility for insurance before enrolling in our program.

Liability: Under no circumstances shall CBAM be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses arising out of, or resulting from, the inability of a practitioner to secure professional liability insurance. Practitioners assume full responsibility for any loss that results from their use or inability to use services provided by CBAM.

Non-regulated Courses: Some procedures in aesthetic medicine are not regulated and anyone with basic training can perform the procedures. Examples of these procedures are: Microneedling, Laser, or Chemical-Peel. For these kinds of training, non-healthcare professionals are also able to learn the procedure and complete the online or practical sessions of the courses; however, CBAM does not guarantee that the graduate can work with the certificate of completion of the course.

Regulated Courses: The courses which cover the topics related to the controlled acts are intended for healthcare professionals who are authorized to offer these services within their licensed geographic region. Numerous health authorities mandate hands-on practical experience as well as online theory training as a prerequisite for practitioner qualification to provide these services. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee your ability to practice solely with our certificates if your local scope of practice necessitates additional training. We strongly advise you to verify this with your licensing body before enrolling in any course or event with CBAM. If you are not a healthcare professional, we may revoke your access to the registered courses and may not be able to issue you a certificate of completion.

Referral Program: We offer a 5% referral fee on the total price of the first product/service that the referred person pays for. The referral fee does not apply to past courses. We need to receive your referral before they pay any deposits for their first course with CBAM. If two people refer a student, the referral fee is only paid to the first person who has made the introduction.

Funding Policy: Individuals enrolled in a course or event and those who have applied for it can request funding or reimbursement from external entities or financial institutions. If an email request is made, the administrative team at CBAM will provide the necessary documentation to the student. CBAM holds no responsibility for the policies of these third-party organizations or financial institutions.

The international applicants who wish to attend the courses physically in Canada are welcome to apply for receiving Canadian visa and CBAM head office will provide a letter of support for processing the application. This letter can be submitted to any Canadian embassy worldwide.

Please note that the letter of support for Visa application is only issued if the applicant pays the full payment of the course or package that he or she has applied for. We are not able to provide the letter if the applicant has only paid the deposit for the course or the package.

In case the visa is accepted, the full payment of the package or course is non-refundable even if the applicant decides not to attend the courses. In case the visa is rejected, we will require a copy of the rejection letter and a copy of the passport of the applicant. After verification, CBAM will refund the full payment back to the applicant minus the fee for online materials.

Do Not Track: We honor Do Not Track signals and Do Not Track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place.

California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA): According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following: Users can visit our site anonymously. Once this privacy policy is created, we will add a link to it on our home page or as a minimum, on the first significant page after entering our website. Our Privacy Policy link includes the word 'Privacy' and can easily be found on the page specified above.

Fair Information Practices: In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices we will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur: We will notify you via email within 7 business days.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act): When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, we do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old.

• For each purchase from CBAM, 10% of the purchase amount is credited to the student's wallet as credit for purchasing CBAM courses or packages.
• Students cannot use their wallet credit as cashback; they can only use it to purchase any of CBAM courses and packages.
• Wallet credit cannot be used for deposit payments (for programs that require a deposit); it can be used from the second installment onwards.
• Credit for installment programs is added to the student's wallet after the payment of the final installment.
• Credit from program purchases cannot be used for paying the installments of the same program (if the program is on an installment plan).
• The credit cannot be applied along with another promotion or discount coupon.
• The credit can be used towards the online courses and also the practical programs offered in CBAM US and Canada centres (the credits can not be used in CBAM international centers).

The validity of CBAM credits extends for Two years starting from the date of issuance. The maximum utilization of credits for any course, event, or product is capped at 50% of its price.

You must send us a written report that includes the date of incident, location, details, and individuals who are involved.

We would investigate the situation and inform you the outcome of the investigation within 7 business days. Please note that during the investigation, we might contact you or the other party(parties) to understand more about the situation.

If needed, we would schedule a meeting with the presence of you, CBAM authorities and the other parties who are involved (CBAM lawyer will be present if required).

After completion of the meeting, we will release the outcome meeting and investigation and position of CBAM regarding the situation withing 72 hours. You will be informed of this via email, or mail.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome from the investigation and the meeting, we can arrange a secondary meeting with an independent mediator, to receive a secondary opinion from the independent party. The mediator will be selected from the list of regulated mediator roster. You have the choice to select licensed mediator if you do not wish to have the CBAM's choice of mediator. The charge of the mediator might apply which you will pay them directly.
