Visa Invitation Letter Policy for International Attendees:
1. Eligibility and Fees
International attendees who require a visa invitation letter must first complete full payment for their event registration.
CBAM will issue a visa invitation letter upon request to support the attendee’s visa application.
A non-refundable fee of CAD 250 plus applicable taxes will be charged for issuing the visa invitation letter.
2. Refund Policy
A. Attendees Not Requiring a Visa Invitation Letter
- If a written cancellation request is received more than 60 days before the first day of the congress, the full payment will be refunded.
- If a written cancellation request is received between 30 to 60 days before the first day of the congress, 50% of the payment will be refunded. The remaining 50% will be issued as a credit to the attendee’s CBAM account. This credit can be used toward future CBAM events or services. The attendee’s registration will be cancelled.
- If a written cancellation request is received less than 30 days before the first day of the congress, the payment is non-refundable. The full amount will be issued as a credit to the attendee’s CBAM account for future use. The attendee’s registration will be cancelled.
B. International Attendees Requiring a Visa Invitation Letter
For international attendees who require a visa to enter Canada, all ticket payments become non-refundable upon full payment and issuance of a payment receipt.
If a visa invitation letter is requested, CBAM will provide a supporting document for the attendee’s visa application.
If:
- the visa application is refused, or
- the visa is approved after the event date
50% of the ticket payment will be issued as a credit to the attendee’s CBAM account. This credit can be used for any future CBAM event or course.
3. Visa Rejection Support
In case of visa refusal, CBAM will issue one additional visa invitation letter free of charge for attendees who plan to apply again for a future CBAM congress.
4. Responsibility Disclaimer
CBAM is not responsible for visa decisions or processing times. The attendee is fully responsible for their visa application.
5. Letter Issuance Process
CBAM will provide the visa invitation letter directly to the attendee. CBAM does not submit documents to immigration authorities on behalf of attendees.
6. Application Process
After completing full payment, attendees may submit a request for a visa invitation letter through the designated application form.
