Dr. Valerie Doyon is a dermatology resident at the University of Montreal. She completed her B.Sc. at the University of Ottawa and earned her M.D. from the University of British Columbia, where she was elected class president. She currently serves as co-chair of the Resident and Fellows Society of the Canadian Dermatology Association.

Dr. Doyon’s research focuses on public health, procedural safety, and innovation in aesthetic dermatology. Her paper on tanning content on TikTok contributed to the platform’s removal of pro-tanning videos. She has also led research on filler-induced blindness, which has been presented internationally and recognized for its impact on injection safety. Her work has earned her recognition as a Rising Derm Star by the Winter Clinical Conference committee, as well as the Annual Resident Award from the Canadian Laser and Aesthetic Specialist Society.

Committed to patient education and outreach, Dr. Doyon is a writer for Canadian Skin magazine and volunteers with the Mole Mobile screening program, which provides free skin cancer screenings in underserved communities. She is proud to practice in both French and English.
